Maintenance: avoid the next breakdown
A few simple habits extend the life of your appliances.
Price, warranty, timing, appliances we repair: here are the answers to the questions we get most often. Can’t find yours? Call us, we’re open 24 hours a day. We can serve you in English over the phone.

This FAQ brings together the questions we hear most on the phone and during visits. Pick a topic to go straight to the answers.
It’s often the first question when an appliance breaks down. There’s no universal formula, but a few guidelines help you decide.

In most cases, yes. Common breakdowns involve accessible parts like a pump, a gasket, a belt or a heating element, which cost far less than a new appliance. The technician explains the cost before starting, and then you decide.
CAA-Québec (in French) suggests leaning toward replacement when the repair costs more than half the value of a comparable appliance, when breakdowns keep coming or when the appliance is near the end of its useful life. If that’s your case, we tell you frankly.
Check the manufacturer’s warranty before paying for a repair: a nearly new appliance is often still covered.
The price depends on the breakdown. Here’s how we set it and how to get a quote.
It mostly depends on the part involved. We can’t give an honest number without a diagnosis, so the technician explains the cost before starting.
Fill in our quote request form or call 438 798-5778. Give us the brand, the model and what the appliance is doing.
For a repair, no: the price depends on the diagnosis. For a dishwasher installation, we can give you a price idea in advance, depending on the model.
What our warranty covers and what Quebec law provides.

Yes. Our repairs are guaranteed, parts and labour.
According to CAA-Québec (in French), any appliance repair is covered by a three-month legal warranty on parts and labour, starting from the date on the invoice.
The invoice should list the repairs done, the price and the condition of the parts installed. Keep it: it’s your proof of warranty.
